Question by kieth c: What should i do? Hurt shoulder at work, had mri,got tears ,had surgery,Back to work now,The insurance company
Wants to settle ,for $ 7,000 thousand.Had arthroscopic subacromial decompression & limited debridement surgery. Had injury to articular cartilage,with deep abrasion noted and several small.Have not had IME yet,to see what my impairment percentage is.

That seems to be a low amount. Does it cover your costs for surgery, time lost from work, etc? Do you have any residual effects – loss of movement, numbness, persistent pain? Will you likely have some amount of impairment that will keep you from working the job you did when you were injured?

If you do, you may want to talk to a worker’s comp. attorney about your options. I’m not saying you should sue for hundreds of thousands of dollars, because in my opinion, people who do that are greedy. But you should be entitled to a just and fair amount of compensation.
